Top players invade Antwerp with Street Tennis

Last afternoon Kyle Edmund (ATP-15), Milos Raonic (ATP-20), Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (ATP-75) and Gaël Monfils (ATP-48) played a Street Tennis match at the Groenplaats in Antwerp. Accidental spectators kept watching massively and enjoyed a unique spectacle.

“It was a pleasant and sporty way to get to know the city of Antwerp”, says Raonic. Monfils was also enthusiastic: “It was great to hit a few balls at one of the most beautiful places in Antwerp.

Tournament director Dick Norman found the action successful. “It was a fun activity. The intention was to bring the tennis to the city and this has already been achieved.”
