The fifth edition of the European Open ATP 250 took place from 18th to 25th October 2020 in the Lotto Arena in Antwerp. The European Open is part of the ATP World Tour and is the largest and only tennis tournament of this level in Belgium.

Like in the previous editions, the European Open will bring together several of the best players in the world and Belgium. It is a singles as well as a doubles tournament. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 edition was a COVID-proof tournament making sure to offer the right safety to the audience, players and staff.

The sixth edition will happen from the 17^th to the 24^th of October 2021.

The tournament promoter, Tennium, is an international company specialised in tennis. Kristoff Puelinckx is the founder and CEO of Tennium. He is openly enthusiastic about having toptennis in Belgium. “We are delighted to organize this tournament in Belgium, especially in Antwerp, a city with a long tradition of top tennis and the city has a strong tennis culture”, he explained when the official announcement was made.
