Antwerp, Sept. 27, 2023 – The European Open is fast approaching. This year, the organization is once again focusing on experiences off the court, including numerous theme days. Also new this year is ‘Tennis For Life’ on Saturday, Oct. 21. The concept? Fans can play tennis alongside a Flemish celebrity and an ex-tennis pro on Center Court, raising 5.000 euros for a charity of their choice.
The ‘Tennis For Life’ event is a great way to combine tennis and charity on Center Court. This on Saturday, Oct. 21 between the semifinals of the doubles and the semifinals of the singles. Two teams, consisting of an ex-tennis pro and a Famous Fleming on the one hand and two competition winners on the other, will play the ‘Dick Norman Challenge’. This is to raise money for charity.
The team with the most points at the end of the challenge will win 5.000 euros. That will go entirely to their chosen charity. The score will be kept and displayed on the big screen, so the audience can see which team is on its way to victory. Sabine Appelmans will provide the balls.
