A selection of players who have registered for this unique ATP250 in Belgium teaches us that beyond former world number one Andy Murray, no less than 6 players have registered for the tournament who are in the top 20 of the ‘race for London’: Goffin at number 11, Monfils at 12th place, Pella at no. 14, Schwartzman is number 16 and Paire no 19th and also former number 3, Milos Raonic in 22nd place.
Gael Monfils recently told us: “I had so much fun last year,

step from last year and win the tournament this time. Hope to see you all there. A bientôt.”
In addition, we notice other big names of French players on the list, such as Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Richard Gasquet, former winners of the European Open. Frenchman Benoit Paire is also in the main draw. Also registered are players from the ‘Next Gen’ such as the American Frances Tiafoe and the 21-year-old Frenchman, Ugo Humbert, who are 5th and 8th respectively in the ‘race for Milan’.
Naturally and not least, the European Open guarantees participation of our local talents: alongside David Goffin and Steve Darcis, other names will be able to defend Belgian pride. It will be a great opportunity to come and cheer them on.
