Feliciano Lopez also enters the European Open

The Spaniard Feliciano Lopez (ATP-63), former number 12 of the world, will participate at the European Open in October.

The 36-year-old Lopez has won six singles titles and one doubles title so far in his career. Additionally, he was very successful in the Davis Cup. With Spain he won the trophy in 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2011.

Fun fact: in 2003 he became Spanish champion by defeating Rafael Nadal (ATP-1).

Five quarter finals

This year Lopez already reached five quarterfinals and in London he won the ATP-tournament of Queens by beating David Goffin (ATP-10) with 6-3, 6-7 (7) and 6-3 in the final.

On the main draw Lopez joins the same Goffin, Diego Schwartzman (ATP-13), Kyle Edmund (ATP-16) and Gael Monfils (ATP-39), who already confirmed their presence.
