Last year the European Open received a lot of positive feedback from the players and great marks from the ATP. The event welcomed around 16,500 fans to the Lotto Arena. For the second edition the tournament will increase its focus on social media and a bespoke communication plan with activations in 115 tennis clubs across Flanders and a strong focus on the Antwerp province.
Thanks to a successful first edition the European Open secured a couple of strong, new partners. They include BNP Paribas Fortis, a partner with a long history in tennis, and the Port of Antwerp. As such the press conference launching the second European Open was held at the Port House in Antwerp, the new pearl of the Port of Antwerp.
