High class tennis in Belgium: the European Open ATP 250

Antwerp, 18 July 2019 – As of today each Belgian tennis lover is asked to keep a free spot in his agenda for the 4th edition of the European Open ATP 250. From Sunday 13 till Sunday 20 October 2019, the Antwerp Lotto Arena will be transformed into the stage where home based top talents and international recognised players will perform the highest level of tennis in Belgium. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity in 2019.

For the second year in a row, Dick NORMAN ensures a strong occupation as Tournament Director of the European Open ATP 250. For now, Belgian top players David GOFFIN (ATP33) and former ATP title winner Steve DARCIS have already confirmed.

Absolute worldclass will be guaranteed by the finalist of the European Open 2018 Gaël MONFILS (ATP16) and the 2 time finalist Diego SCHWARTZMAN (ATP23). A total prize pool of €711.275 allows to attract even more top players. More information will be announced during the summer period.

Although the European Open puts the emphasis on top 20 players, attention is also paid to the next gen. American Frances TIAFOE (ATP35) will be playing the European Open!

The European Open ATP 250 promises once again the highest level which allows each tennis fan to experience world class tennis in Belgium. Upcoming players of Belgian nationality and top 20 players will let the make the Lotto Arena the place to be according to Tournament Director Dick NORMAN.

The communication campaign will be kicked-off before the start of the summer period, tickets and profitable packages are from now on available at www.europeanopen.be. Dick NORMAN and Event Director Ilse VAN PARYS are the main figures of the 40 European Open Challenge Days which will start soon and will last until the end of the summer.

But the European Open not only guarantees high quality tennis in Belgium, it is also the opportunity to combine top sport with entertainment. In addition to theme, ‘backstage tours’ or meetings with top players, a surprise act in the centre of Antwerp and a real European Open party will be set up on Friday 18 October after the matches have ended. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
