Saturday in the Lotto Arena the draw was made for the third edition of the European Open. A first big headline will be the confrontation between Ruben Bemelmans (ATP-108) and the Frenchman Gaël Monfils (ATP-37) in the first round.
It was tournament director Dick Norman and Bemelmans himself who played for innocent hand. “It will be an fascinating encounter”, Bemel said with a wink about his first round match.
Another promising match will be the one between the spaniard Feliciano Lopez and the American wildcard Frances Tiafoe.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will start defending his title against the Argentinian player Guido Pella.
